Okay, Ian's stupid question time. Does this also apply to the FAL plastic fans? One came with the car when I bought it.

Any chance those are 72 parts and you're willing to part with them? Still looking for a harness for my 72 Grabber. It was an AC car as well. Of course all that stuff is gone. I've got a NOS rear defroster and the correct defroster switch and pigtail but missing the add on post for the fuse panel. - Matt

It’s actually a 71, I do have a 72 parts car but the harness is likely not useable. The previous owner decided to “upgrade” the car. Likely a fire hazard lol. I’m planning on keeping the defogger setup including the addition slot, I have been looking for one for several years. 568C72E3-4439-48D1-A10B-959B17885875.jpeg

If you want I can send you photos of the post and some measurements if you want to make one. It’s pretty simple.

If you're not planning on using the 71 harness I believe it would be close enough to the 72 to pass. I want to say I believe the wiring changed in 73 and I believe that was mainly at the back of the cluster. If you get a chance to post photos and measurements of the add-on post that would be great. I could probably make one. They looked pretty simple. I almost think there may be a post insert like that on the extra 72 Cougar Harness I have that's been hacked up. - Matt

FLEX FANS xxxx Don't know the 'brand' name , but I've posted on this forum several times about a friend lost his
life when he was ' winging ' the throttle standing near the fender and the fan let go of one blade and it severed his
artery in his neck .. He bled out in front of his wife .. She still has their Maverick , ( Minus a flex fan of course) .. Flex
Fans ARE dangerous ! Be advised !!

If you need a fan, Summit has a pretty decent Steel 6 blade fan that looks like a stock Ford fan. It’s HD with riveted fins. I think I’ve got either the 16” or 17” unit on my 67 Mustang. It moves the air.

was having what I determined to be a fuel pump issue. I drained the tank and removed the pump.
in draining the tank I found that there was 2.5 gallons of gas in the tank and the pickup tube and sock had fallen off of the pump...:slap:
may get the pickup tube and sock reattached and some gas in the tank tomorrow and see if that will solve the gas starvation issue...

Debating to keep the stock gas tank or a 15 gallon fuel cell for my 70.
Dont really like all those emission hoses that it has on the top side.

fuel gauge went crazy yesterday. pulled the sender and checked it, it was bad. this is my new Scott Drake sender about 3 months old...:slap: it works out of the tank just not in it.
going to Summit in the morning to see about getting another one, maybe not the same brand.

My Sweetie and I returned the sender to Summit.
came home and removed the E-fuel pump from the ... Holley 12-305 kit...
    now I have a $450 sending unit...:yikes:
got it installed but so far can't get a fuel reading, nothing but 00. the gauge worked before the hose busted...
