That is fair. The roller style are definitely an investment at $200. They are well worth it but they are pricey.

Finished wiring the alternator. Couple more things need to be grounded and then I can start up for the first time in 3+ years.

I finally installed the new seat covers Fred made me almost a year ago-talk about procrastination! I dragged my feet about whether or not to install new foams. I did, and I am so glad that I did! I bought a set of seat foams from AutoKrafters which turned out to be garbage. They did not have the lister rods like the OEM foam did. I called them up and was told "that's the way they all are-no one makes them like the originals". The owner of the company, Ron got on the phone and was very rude to me and my wife-never again!
Anyway, I found a set of foams from C.J.'s Pony Parts and guess what? Just like OEM, better quality foam, and much better appearance all around, and what was even better? The price was basically the same, because CJ's shipping is free over $100!
I also replaced the shifter bezel gasket, and now the interior is finally done after 34 years of ownership! (told you I procrastinate!) The seats are soooo comfortable, and it has definitely raised me up behind the wheel.
Thanks again to Fred and his quality seat covers, they look great!

Looks fantastic! What did it cost you to get a set from Fred?

It was a year ago, but it was a little under $400 with shipping. The quality is outstanding and well worth it! The seats are very comfortable, and with the new foams I had a little under $800 in both seats. I highly recommend the All Premium TMI seat foams from CJ Pony as well if your foams are worn out.

Not much, but at least something. Replaced the home weatherstripping a PO had screwed to the cowl with the 73 and up hood/cowl weatherstrip. Had to make a couple of new slotted holes since mine is a 72 and it originally did not go fender to fender. Looks much cleaner. Also put on the wiper/washer jets and hoses that had always been missing. Now to clean up the washer tank and put it on.

Something similar to this without the metal strip and numerous screws to hold it in place.

When in doubt, screw it and then put in some more?
