So many idiots on YouTube comment sections making all sorts of wild and ignorant claims about Mavericks, and when you try to correct them, they just double down on the nonsense. A recent example is these fools referring to the Maverick as a "muscle car", and claiming that Ford produced a limited number (not just one prototype) of BOSS 302 Mavericks, and that people could special order a Maverick with a BOSS 302 or a Maverick Sprint with a Boss 351.
    Shaking my head...

Well at least most of us here know the real story and you will never convince others they are wrong . And I will be that they think all Grabbers came with a V8

Not only in the comments. No telling how many times I hear the video say, "Mavericks were produce between 70-77 having a 7-year production run." Last time I checked 70-77 is 8 years...not 7 years

P.O. put cheap paint and expensive Grabber graphics on this 3OTT sixbanger, comments range from " is it a Firebird " to "why-ja' swap out the HiPo V8?" . Did have the VIN proofed '76 Comet GT with cool graphics, hood scoop and 200cid sixbanger behind the Maverick.

Actually, they did!! April 17, 1969 till roughly Sept/Oct '70. (Actually, production began in early March)

Especially if early ones are known as 69½...

Thats how the 64½ Mustangs came about, Ford sold every one as '65... Enthusiast crowd began distinguishing between early vs late. No doubt more differences between early Mustang vs early Maverick but still there is a distinguishing line.
