Hello everyone. :) I'm curious if anyone here has ever modded their headlights? I love the mavericks, I'm looking to buy one hopefully soon (found a couple in my price range, a friend's trying to hook me up) but was curious what you all thought about the headlights and grill placement. Does anyone have any ideas on mods that can be done to make them not look so, well, bugged-out? The lines of the car are beautiful, but for some reason the headlights just do nothing for me, and I was wondering if anyone had seen any ideas that people had done to the front grill. I love the Mustang GT headlights but that's the Stang, this is the Mav but any pics online of body mods? Just curious, thanks. :drive:

I have not seen any mods on headlights but I have seen the bumper removed and some filling done, looked pretty good to me.
I was going to upload it but I can't find it... It is green with two black stripes (help me guys)

I like what this guy did (http://www.cardomain.com/ride/755235), simply adding the inner lights to give it a better feel. I was just hoping someone here might have done something with the front end to give it, I don't know, a different, less BEM look? I was thinking recessing the lights a bit, or scooping the hood forward, or simply changing thel lights out for a different type. Any pics in the gallery (none that I could find so far...)?

That grill and lights are cool.

If you really wanted a different front end, you could just put the front clip of a mustang on the car!

This is a picture that has showed up on the forum a few times, and i think it looks really cool!

I say rectangular lights would look neat. 'Might have to do some researching for the right size (for esthestics) plus you'd have to do some modding to the grill and rims (or create own).

    You're such a Maverick! ;)

I just had mine painted body color. That is one subtle modification. The hood lip trim is being painted body color to continue the line.

With simple stock configurations, you have several choices that you can mix and match to create different front ends...
The basic is plain badge grille and plain headlight bezels:
    jennifer_terepka_71_mav.jpg
Paint the grille black and trim the bezels like a Grabber, and it changes the whole appearance:
    tony_reiners_72.jpg
Add a later grille with black paint and change it some more...
    100_0687.jpg

Then you can always mix and match between stock parts. IMO the factory put out enough different individual pieces to make the pallet diverse for customizing.
Grille: Black, silver (plain), chrome, or you paint body color
Bezels: Plain, black trim, all black, or body color
Turn signal bezels if using later grille: Black, chrome, silver (plain), or paint custom
More grille options beyond color: Early badge grille, turn signal grille, 77 split grille, custom shaved grille...
Stock grille light options: Clear late bezels, amber late bezels, clear Sportlamps (Grabber), clear turns with chrome crossbars, amber turns with chrome crossbars...

These are just all the stock options available for your custom mix and match touch.
After these, the other custom options are endless if you figure in various lamps that could be added to the grille or billet grilles...
Check around the picture galleries, there are many custom grilles, lights, and even a few headlight swaps.
