Just picked up a 5.0 HO, it has the factory headers. From what I understand from a previous thread that the drivers side has some problems. Has anyone been able to make them fit? And what did you have to do?

I tried them. They interfere with shock towers. I went with Hooker 6901 long tubes. They fit perfectly. Note-not for column shift cars.

Well it looks like I'll be using manifolds for now. Budget won't allow headers for now. Thanks

Ebay, any special place or just look around. Will the street fighter work with an AOD. Plan on putting one in. Thanks for the advice

I don't think the hookers will fit the AOD so that won't work. How about the Headman shorties, will they work with an AOD?

i'm very interested myself. i'm transplanting 93 5.0 HO with aod from a thunderbird this spring and thought that the factory headers would work. i know about the trans mount mod and have the info for the wire harness. i am thinking about using the whole wire harness from front to back. will have to add the return fuel line. anymore info on the right header woud be great.

you have to heat the pasenger side tubes and carefully bend away the collector so it won't interfear with the trans. pan and modify the the double hump X-menber. I have 3 AOD's in different states of builds ready to be installed
