Well the front brakes on my '73 4door finally wore down last week. Keep in mind that I have never changed them in the 7 years that i have owned the car so i believe they have served me well. i had planned on converting the car to disc this summer but figured i might as well go ahead and do it, so i did. now, all 3 of my maverick are front disc cars:yup:

on saturday's agenda, i plan to replace the rocker arms on the passenger of my '71 as one or two of them are very noisy and almost sound like a loud exhaust leak or something. not to mention i am supposed to go look for a 5.0 HO motor that i plan to put in my '71 if i get it.

who knows what the rest of saturday and sunday will bring....lol :drive:

    (not to mention, it's 68 here :D:D:D)

I plan on putting my hogs head back in my comet. Changed it from a 2.73 to a 3.40. Hey mean mav. I lived in Nicholasville for 20 years and loved it. How about firing Tubby?

All i can say is that it should have happened sooner :D

update: i changed out 1/2 of the lifters on my '71 today and the ticking is still there so im gonna swap out the other side tomorrow (sunday). i would have done it today but it looked like it was gonna rain so i put everything up and guess what, it never rained :p

hey, anyone have any suggestions if this doesnt work tomorrow? engine runs quiet and smooth while idling and crusing town but as soon as the engine comes under a load it has a 'tick' to it. the only thing i know of it being is a rocker arm or pivot or so.

I thought the same thing Frank, about the timing but it's fine. I have double checked everything and even removed the timing cover to double check my marks.

Havent really tried the gas, always just run 89 in it. but i wouldnt imagine that the gas would make it tick as loud as it does. ill try it though, when i take it out today.

BTW Frank, what color r u gonna paint your car??
