I was detailing my car yesterday and waxed over the Grabber hood stripe. I was using that new synthetic Turtle Wax "Ice" , which works great by the way, and I accidentally waxed over the black vinyl hood decal. Has anyone else done this and will it cause a problem? Thanks.

I dont think it'll cause a problem, but i have been told that rubbing alcohol strips wax off of cars.
This way you can get it off but you'll have to rewax where it gets on the paint.

All I know is my brother the bodyman said don't wax over it & if you do get it off. He said it will turn chaulky looking or milky looking after time. Good Luck!

and dont let the alcohol sit on the decal too long.. it will soften it up and could remove it from the car

    Dan,

Are your stripes the same as mine? Mine are the vinyl decals from Phoenix Graphics. I'm gonna call them just to make sure the wax won't trash the stripes.

    Rock on,
    Josh
