I was reading maverickdvm post on dash caps and was wondering how hard are they to install. Do you glue them on top of the cracked one?
I was thinking of ordering one and was wondering if the came with detailed instructions

Yes, they come with instructions. Some people get away without having to glue them at all, but some of the caps will not sit flat on the dash pad without the glue. All it is, is clear silicone adhesive...

No glue, also makes it easy to take off if you need to do some work and dont want to mess up the paint.

Frank; remember getting mine off the dash in my Mav? We had to replace the pad. The glue will make it impossible to remove the cap. Mine just snapped on over the pad, and it stays without any adhesive. Try that first. Removing the pad makes cleaning easier, and if you sell a car, you can transfer it to another. Just my $.02. Good luck!
