The 200 is just miserably slow in the acceleration department. It will run 70-80 all day no problem on the interstate, but even my 230,000 mile 250 absolutely smokes my 30,000 original mile 200 from a stop.

I'd just like to know how you got it to do a burnout like that. Rev it to like 4,500 in neutral and drop it in first? :rofl2:

how did he get the drivers sde wheel to spin like that? i thought all mavericks had one leggers in em that spin the passenger side tire?

if i rev me engine up anywhere near that high in N and go into D it just stays neutral and slips i guess untill the rpm's drop low enough for it to catch or something.

mine's a 76 250/c4 and it only gets power to the passanger side tire. heres a pic of my spinning it in the rain one day, not only was it wet out but they had just coated the pavment at my friends apartment with this really slippery black stuff :burnout: sorry for the crappy cell phone pic, but you get the point

there were 3 wrecks that first week because people would get on their brakes and their car would just slide across the the water. somebody really messed up the forumla on whatever they had used :naughty:

From a stop, I have never been able to get much more then screech out of my car. I can screech the passenger wheel all the way up the driveway or what have you, but it certainly won't sit there and burn the tires like a V8 car, unless of course it's wet out, in which case I can break both wheels loose and slide the back of the car around while revving the crap out of it in first gear. :D Maybe my engine is just worn out and lacking low end torque. Man these old 6 cylinders are indestructable...

slight brake stand to get the tires goin, once the rpm's get kinda high i get off the brakes and the tires hit about 40, than the car will try and shift...and my burnout is over

i have a mini spool in my extra 3rd member in the basement, so peg leg will be a thing of the past

One thing though I'd not do that with an automatic , I bet the c-4 for that mild 6 is not up to too much of that abuse.
