Greetings Fellow Members: I am trying to locate my former ride the infamous "Preperation H" (H/MP) 1971 Maverick that competed in the MP ranks of NHRA drag racing in the early 70's. I sold the car to its new owner ( from memory, Elwood Robinson of Newark DE ) in spring of 1974 just before completion of my new gasser a ford powered I/Gas Pinto. Anyone who can assist me in finding the Maverick, please respond to me when convenient. Warmest Regards, Bruce Sizemore 1975 NHRA Modified World Champ 1978 NHRA US Nationals Modified Eliminator
Welcome to the board Bruce. Not that I know anything about the car, but do you have any pics of it you could post? Good luck on your venture!
I thought I posted some pics of Preperation H a while back???? Let me go try to find it. Welcome to the board.
Bruce....I found the old post that I talked about, unfurtunately due to my anal need to delete stuff after so long, the picture is gone, I am sure I can find it....but here is the link that I mentioned. http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=23063
I had that pic saved. I am sure all here would love to hear the story on that car. Unfortunately I don't have any leads for you. Seth in NC
Welcome to the board. I googled your name and NHRA. Must've been one helluva time. Welcome to the board. I hope you find your Maverick - if not the original one, maybe you can find one to start a "reproduction" Prep/H. Good luck and congrats on your success in racing. http://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial&channel=s&hl=en&q=%22Bruce+Sizemore%22+nhra&btnG=Google+Search
Well I'll be damned. Bruce Sizemore. My Dad raced against you in H/MP back in '70-71. He ran a 1965 Falcon with a 300" six, Borg Warner four speed, and a Dana 60 rear. Out of Baytown, Texas and the name on the car was Wheeler & Sanders. Somewhere there are some pictures of class runoffs at Dallas with Dad, you, Glen Self, the Mad Maverick out of Dallas and a few others. Welcome to the board and I certainly hope you find the car. Good Luck!
