Why in the world are you screwing around with separate front rims for racing? It's not like you're racing for money and every .0001 counts for something.
Matt--Damned good question. Part of my "experiment" is I want to see what differences I will get on 25" tires, 26", and 27" tires. My daily driver front tires are the 25" (215/60r15 on 15X7 rims), so I needed another set of fairly small tires for the front so I could move the 25" tires to the back. So, yeah...basically, I bought these tires just for one or two passes down the strip. But, since I have them, I will toss them on on track nights and use them the other 3-4 times a year I go to the track. If I raced for money, I would lose...therefore, I race just to experiment with my "toy", have fun, and "win" every time
If I didn't like to experiment, I would still be driving a big bumpered, small tired, vinyl topped, 110HP yellow car. BORING Before... After...
Before and After Picts are always so cool, I want several Fresh Cherries primered Comets so I can make one to match how My Car was When I bought, it then one as it is now, and Another 6 with different paint schemes I have in mind, I think a " Before and After Section would be cool
Kinda like this? Didn't notice until AFTER my picture was posted that my lucky Velociraptor was knocked over... I set him back upright...
I vote a combination of the two. Paint the center and polish the outer rim and the rivets to look like this
IF they are not clear coated sulfric acid will make them shine like new money. JUst dont get it on you. you can find it at any homedepot in drain cleaner section. It really will clean them to a new shine
dont use sulfuric on them if they are it will turn the clear coat white. you can tell usually by looking around the bead area you will see chips in the clear coat in this area
Yeah I like the dark centers with the bright aluminum outer rim look, the plus is that if you painted those front rims the same way from a distance that would apear as if they match.
