I have the headers installed. I only ran into one large obstacle...and that was due to me installing these on RHS Pro-Action Heads. On the driver's side I had to make room for the spark plugs as they come out at a different angle than stock heads. I had to "ding" and heat up and "persuade" the tubes for clearance. Once I did that....I sent them in and had them ceramic coated. That required installing and removing about 8 times....especially the driver's side. I also had to grind off part of the mounting flange on both sides in order to get a socket in to the spark plug holes. Again.....these were problems only because of the heads I installed. Otherwise....they went in (and out...Ha, Ha) very easy. Car is at the muffler shop right now...but I can post these pictures. Driver's side required a very small "crease" to clear the pitman arm...but not bad at all. See pictures: (this is taken with the car in a full left turn)
Here are some pictures of the driver's side header after modifications in order to clear the spark plugs.
No headers fit those heads. There are on my brothers maverick. I have the easy side made. 1 and3/4 primaries 3.5 collector. Now I have to do the drivers side. Lookin good!!!!!
Craig, that car is going to look "amazing" when you get it done. Have you updated the photos on your web site yet?
Okay so we are talking great ground clearence right. I have lowered my car 3 inches & I want to go down some more, so long tubes where out the question. I wounld like to be 4 inches off the ground. Right now i'm around 7 but thats because of the 2 1/2 exhaust tubes. With headers I was thinking of going with oval tubes for better ground.
