Well, my suggestion would be to get that car and get started on it as soon as possible, or at least store it out of the weather. I can promise you that rust isn't getting any better, and has probably spread since those pictures were taken, espeically sitting outside like that. Last thing you want is to put it off so long that it's not worth restoreing due to rust.
Well gents, another update on the Grabber. A tornado came thru yesterday at my parents. Did some minor damage to the house, garage, etc, but the wierd thing is it picked up the unlatched hood of the grabber, and pulled it straight up in the air, damaging the rear corners. Saw the pics from dad, but havent had a chance to look at the rest. Hope it is alright. 1970Grabbber
The ironic thing was that I was re reading this thread this morning anyway. Yes, 4 years, no new progress other than my 63 is pretty much an ongoing process. I am hoping to get the weatherstrip done in it, then maybe start on the 70. 1970Grabber
Update: Work to commence! According to my wife, "Lets build the Maverick next!" So, this spring, we should be starting to tear into it! And yes, I know this thread is like 150 years old, but its my thread, and why have it spread all over.
So what direction did you decide to take in your Maverick build? Yes, a thread that includes T.L is an old thread
