I really like the look of some of the Brazillian racing Mavs... anyone know of a website where i can order those type of racing body pieces, etc? The foreign language is a non-issue for me. ;)

Thanks in advance for any help.

    The Mav in Black

Hey man: does your maverick have two headlights on one side and one on the other, but when you pull the switch all three come on? Did you get your shocks out in your big lunch box?

    ;)

Nope. Mine comes via USPS, FedEx, and UPS most of the time. Can't afford to buy more than one piece at a time.:D Just have to get them when I need or find them :burnout: But it's only costing me about $50. Every time I scrape up $50, it's one more part closer to:drive:

The best thing to do is find a contact down there that can be trusted then browse the ebay down there and find what you want, then send them the money to pick it up and have it shipped to you, or have them source the parts out themselves and forget ebay all together.

I have tried to get my hands on some Brazilian Maverick parts. "tried" is the key word... good luck.

I got some tail lights from down there pretty easy, the key to getting it up here is a good contact that knows english pretty good. My next part I will probably be geting from down there is a set of 2.3L 4cyl engine and frame mounts.

That is what I was trying to get a couple of years ago. The guy I was talking to thought I was wanting to buy the whole engine. I tried to explain I wanted just the parts that mount the engine to the body, but he didn't understand. If you can get two sets of those, I'd be intrested!

What about some of those different front ends they have down there. Are those front ends something that is available.

YES. That is exactly what I have started to import for re-sale. (y)

Specifically the 'racing apron' style of lower front nose and the moulded in Elenor style side body mouldings that let you mount side exit exhaust and hide the pipes underneath. (see pics for an example of the less aggressive front spoiler and the side aprons).

I'd like to thank the folks who responded with advice to my question- you guys really helped me out. Thanks to some tips from you guys, I am now set up to search for/purchase/import Brazillian parts- fiberglass and otherwise.

I am able to translate written Portuguese and respond in kind... which makes this whole thing much easier than having to contend with a language barrier. :yup:

My first set of front spoilers (I ordered 3) will be here shortly. I'm fitting one of them up to my mad max (style) project. The remaining two will be available.

    THANKS AGAIN :tiphat:

From what I've seen the valances sell for around $100 down there and the grills go for $200, of course you would have to add shipping and handling to this.
