Parts from an older 302 to a newer 302

    I like to have all the right parts here and ready to go so when the time comes all of the parts are there and won't need to run around and stuff

    :D Sorry, but you've mislead the boy. Not all 5.0's used the 50 oz/in imbalance factor on the flywheel/flexplate. The 79 til about 81's use the 28/oz.

    It's a 90 5.0 he's using for the swap ... Were 79/81 engines called 302's or 5.0's ?

    302s are 5.0L and 5.0L still 302 cubic inch

    Oh alright haha .. I'm just trying to make it as easy as possible for us (if you're coming to help, which would be the biggest help ever) to get everything done quickly and smoothly.

    Ford started using the "5.0" nonclementure starting with the 79 model year.

    I may be stealing the thread, but.... is there a front sump oil pan that is made specifically for a 90s 5.0, cause I wanna do the FI on mine and couldn't remember.....:cheers:

    Any front sump pan will work, they're interchangeable. If you have a main girdle, then your choices are limited, not all will clear the rear main studs in that case.
