I thought I remembered seeing a thread about someone making some subframe connectors? Is that still going on? I'm interested, based on price and installation difficulty.

Dan Starnes is coordinating the group buy. He told me they should be making the first run this coming weekend. The price is $85 plus shipping

    Here is the old thread:

    I tried that

I tried searching for subframe and connectors and nothing came back. Thats the only reason I started a thread. How hard are they to install? I understand that they will prevent twist from front to rear, but what are other benefits?

They will be weld-in only. The welding is not difficult, but I don't know what a welder would charge. I posted the old thread above.

    Here is Dan's subframe connectors

I got a set to test fit for him and with little mods they fit great. His production run will incorporate the needed changes. It is very thick wall tubing so trimming them is a workout with a hacksaw.

I have 8 sets to sell at this time.....

As the Post Subject states, I have 8 sets of subframe connectors available at this time. They are strictly weld-on. You will have to trim them to your choice of how you want them to fit. The set on my car hang a bit lower than on Dennis Martin's car. The end performance result is the same though. My car now handles off the line and thru cornering like never before. I wish I had thought of this 25 years ago!! You may contact me at v8stallion76@yahoo.com

    Thanks to all
    Dan
PS Charlie and Dennis have been instrumental in getting these subframe connectors available. They, like me are just trying to get quality performance parts for Mav/Comets to us the owners.

Sorry, the 2 dr version sf connectors are about 3" too short from working. The setup time to create these is costly. The demand for 4 dr connectors is low. So I wont be producing any.
