Ok, first off...I dont want you guys thinking i'm bragging... This took so much sarificing i am just happy to see it all come together. Also, to say I did it all, except the machining. Now, i am so far in debt, i only hope i can stay ahead of it with this engine. lol. Well I got my new oil pan from ebay...i wasn't thrilled with the welds, but it doesn't seem to leak... also, the oil plug is on the front...it seems that is the only thing that saved me money on this thing...

a little run down of parts.

block cleaned, bored .030 over,ARP bolts throughout, ARP head studs, CHP 347 stroker (non oil burning) with Forged pistons, perfect circle moly coated rings, clevite bearings, main girdle, windage tray, 7 QT oil pan, crane aluminum roller rockers, melling HV oilpump, I seem to have went with Edelbrock mostly: aluminum victor series waterpump, RPM aluminum heads w/ 2.02 valves, Aluminum RPM airgap intake,RPM cam, and finally the performer aluminum fuel pump 110gph. Doug Herbert HEI coil on cap distributor, 10:1 compression.

I've got enough distance between the cylinder wall and the piston for NOS or any other type adder, however, with the compression so high, and me wanting to run 93 octane, i am sticking by the NOS. only a 100 shot since my fuel pump won't really hold much past 500 hp.

Had time to put the new fuel lines in today, I went with aluminum 3/8 tubing all the way back to the tank, so it'll be able to feed her.

can't wait to see what she looks like in the grabber. Thanks for letting me share my happiness...and i can't wait to see you guys at one of the shows and Drag nights to see it perform...
The stainless bolts are a nice touch as well... and all the gaskets were trimmed...this puppy is pristine.

Nice motor! Don't worry about that ebay pan, I had one on my Maverick for three years now and not a leak. I will point out one possible area to watch for though...when you install the motor the pan is wider than the lower a-arm pivot points. You have to kind of drop it in and slide it back. It's kind of a pain to get in, but NYBULLIT had the same pan and found that removing the motor mounts from the motor and putting them on the stands instead. Then put the motor in and line up the bolts. I hope this helps!

    updates on pics

took a few newer shots of the engine.... it's still not completely done..

I.E. - the valve covers are just sitting on there. and it took awhile, since doug herbert sent me a 351 distributor in a 302 box.... errrggghh. after contacting them, i was told that, that specific company didn't make a 351 distributor. after shipping it back with measurements... another I.E.- the 351's shaft is 5/16 302 is 1/4"

they received it, and apologized... changed their tone quite a bit. got my new one in, and a k&n 12x2" air cleaner assembly with extreme lid. The edelbrock covers aren't done... i'm getting them customized... hehehe
