I don't care for them either.

Let me clarify my previous statement; they don't look bad on the back window (although I prefer none at all, in favor of a nice tint), they look hideous on the quarter windows. 'Sorry 'bout that...

I like the looks of the one piece aluminum types of the 70s.
I can't stand the plastic/ABS types that eventually took their place in the 90s. I don't know that the Mav versions even got that far!

That said, I wouldn't want them on my car.
They have their place, just like sidepipes look good on some cars...
Just not mine. Honestly too, not being smart.

My ol' man keeps the old aluminum style on his 78 Chebby.
    Has since the beginning...
There is not much to them.
Looks like careful selection of aluminum flat sheet, some bending, and a squirt of semi-gloss black paint is all they are.

Hi Dave, I believe I have them as a jpeg file on my home pc. I'll try to remember and check this weekend. If I can find them, I'll certainly send them to you.

Personally, I dont like them on any car and the Maverick ones are even worse. On the ones I seen, the trunk opens so close to the back glass that the bottom slat is omitted to clear. Just dont look right. JMO

I really don't like that look either but, I do like a challange. I was thinking os making one to see if I could do it. The plan is to copy the 69-70 mustang style. rounded ends and chrome mount hinges. I guess I will have to look at the trunk to glass clearence. Hmmmm
