How many miles an hour does a 1976 ford maverick go up to a 120 , 180? Not sure and in order to order the part i need they needed to know that i dont have the orginal in the car right now. thanks
the guy where i need to get the guy where i need to get the part said diff years were diff they werent all the same
The later models did not have 120 mph speedos. Didn't matter anyway, a bone stock '75-77 Maverick couldn't do 120 mph if it wanted to.
Learn somthin new every dayI thought they all went to 120?? The 75 4 door I had went to 120.Of course jeremiahs is a 76 soo, yeah ok I get it.
Back around '74, when the speed limit was first reduced to 55 mph and everyone was still in shock at gas being fifty-cents a gallon, you started seeing 100 mph and 85 mph speedometers installed in new cars. I remember having a '77 Thunderbird with a 400 ci engine and an 85 mph speedo. BTW, just because I was in college in 1977 and owning cars, does not make old.
now that you mention it hawk I remember.I had a 76 thunderchicken with a 460(stock) it only went to 100.Yeah LOL my 75 would do a whopping 85 after going at least 4 miles Dem wuz da dayze.
the the face on the gauge reads up to 100, and my I6 maverick has been there before i dont see why it makes a diffrence anyway, what part is it your in need of?
