As you may recall, I picked up a 2002 Escort power brake booster to modify for our cars. Well, I got around to at least getting it to fit. As you can see, it fits pretty damn good with little modification to the engine compartment. It still needs to slide back another 1/2" or so but it is hitting the brake pedal mount somewhere. Hopefully in the next week or so I will get the dash out so I have full unobstructed access to the pedal mount system to see what it will take to actually mount it. Its looking like this is going to be a good swap though. I will write a full "How to" when I am done. Stay tuned!!!
Did you make that custom bungie bracket yourself??? I've been wanting one of those forever! Cool job!
I figure 2 bungees should be all I need for a permant mount. Dont know about the GEO. It is smaller than this one.
Yup. Also a manual shift car so it has to clear all the clutch linkage. The stock shock tower brace will fit.
The booster looks like its hitting the wireing harrnes plug. Or does the bungee mount allow for removal.
I think it is. Here's an article that I've read before on putting a Geo booster in a Falcon. http://www.fordfalcon2000.com//restoration/powerbrakes.htm
