For not having a seperate amp for the sub...I think it sounds really good. My radio puts out 50 watts per channel.....so that is enough for me.

You're running a sub on a 50 watt 4 channel head? I have a Pioneer 50X4 and never thought about putting a small sub on it...

What size sub, and is it a bazooka-type or cone-type?

It is a 12" MTX Dual Voice coil speaker.

If I was doing it today...I would probably get a powered bazoka type or some that would fit under the front seats. I already had the speaker from a car I had back in 1989...so that is what I went with that. I call it "old school". :D

I could throw a bazooka under the back seat in my truck, or on the floor, that is why I asked. I don't have room for a cone-type speaker in the truck...

They have some fairly inexpensive bazookas with a built-in amp at Circuit City, maybe 100 watts or so...

Yeah....the cone is rather deep....and it has a rather large magnet on it. It all just barey fits behind the seat.

I would go with the Circuit City type. A powered bazoka would really rock.

Craig, I was about to ask but you may have already, but again I just want to be sure I understand. When I saw you putting this together I thought the cone would face the rear, how deep is the cone? Can you feel it through the seat back? That is a pretty awesome set up, I like the "its not there" look from the inside.

The Infinity Basslink is another great solution. Powered Sub that accepts Line or Speaker Level input.

If you press into the center of the seat....you can feel the magnet. It really fits behind the seat very well.

I got a bass tube w/ built-in 200W amp really cheap on ebay. Even has a control so you can adjust the bass level from the driver's seat.

Fan, How did you fasten the carpet to the sides and the taillight panel? I am assuming it is glued down to some fibreboard or something but then how did you attach that so it can be removed? That is the look I am after. Hiding the batteries and that blue bottle thingy.. Scott
