    I think it is also in large part due to the face that they weigh over 2 tons. All that weight and a suspension designed for comfort can absorb a lot more bumps. I mean think about it... If you drive over the worst speed bump in the world in a 80 ton tank... the bump just would just give up and get out of the way. :)

    i always thought it was because mavericks were unibody cars.

    taking a speed bump at 50 in something with a full frame isnt even an issue for me

    My mom's '04 Lincoln LS is a unibody car. And, well, it rides like a Lincoln. ;) It does have a GVWR of 4,080 pounds.

    Speed bumps in Delaware must not be as big as speed bumps in GA! Petty sure most speed bumps around here would do some damage at 50 mph. The ones coming in my neighborhood are pretty rough at 25.

    I have a 1976 Maverick Stallion, and 85 More Mavericks and Comets in Inventory.

    Thats why I am not going to narrow the suspention,, :bananaman
