Anybody try door handles from a different car? Specifically thinking of 1971 Mustang door handles... maybe Mach 1's.

I wonder how hard it would be to convert to those handles.
They are a completely different style, so it would take some fabbing.
    They do look nice though.

there is an article in a mustangs and fords magazine i have where the ring brothers put chrysler pt cruiser door handles on a mustang, and i have to say, it was very sexy. they also installed jeep liberty headlights, also very sexy. i work at a Dodge dealership so i decided to price the PT door handles, and since i have a 4 door i priced 4. my cost is 200 for all 4. thats all gaskets incuded. so retail is probably like 320 or somethin.........ok im done

I've never done it but it seems the best way would be to cut the sheetmetal surrounding the handle on some rusted out Mustang doors and just weld them in just as you would any patch panel. There would be a little body work involved but no fabbing necessary. I think it would look very cool.
By the way...Dave...your new avatar is bugging the crap out of me!!!

J/K...but I do keep wanting to flick it off my screen! :rofl2:

I have 67 Mustang handles on mine. Anyone got a close up picture of the PT cruiser ones?

they are the whole headlight. the 07 jeep wrangler has headlights that would look nice in a mav. they are 8 inch instead of the 9 on the liberty

I've wondered before how it would look to modify the fender to accept a mercedes headlight or a neon you know that lean backwards a little to give a bit of a rake to the headlights

In Brazil we use motorcicle headlights.

The Honda CG 125 FAN bike sold here has the same size sealed-beam headlight as the maverick........................BUT................it has clear lenses!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Very cheap as this is the most popular bike down here.

The one in the CG 150 SPORT is even nicer, because it´s all smooth inside the reflector.

Great effect, specially when u use xenon or cool blue lamps.

Door handles.........in the 70´s and 80´s people would use the 1977 ALFA 2300 handles in mavericks..
