I found this on some random site. It might look a little ghetto but I'm just wondering what you guys think. http://www.truckstuffusa.com/sadbenconbyt.html
Looks a little tall to me. Check into a Mustang supply house. They always have decent ones that would probably fit right in.
Yeah, that looks a bit tall, but i guess if you have a tall torso, and your arm is comfortable level with the steering wheel go for it! Ditto on the mustang forum, or you could get creative with some fiberglass and resin, and wire work and build one custom, that's what i'm planning on doing, that way i can drop the CD player in and use the original location for the new fuse box! Another option is just to go to the junkyard, take measurements of your seat height and where you want the top to stand, and poke around some different makes and models of cars, check into the center console from a 65' t-bird while your at it, it's got a hella cool ashtray flip down piece and sits at about the right height! Might have to trim the upper portion where the chrome goes up and around the instrument cluster, and put it even with the bottmo of your lower dash panel. Only down side of the t-bid console, no cup holders!!! you could always try the one you have a pic of, and just cut the bottom down a bit, so it slides right on the trans/shaft hump and fasten it down
That looks a little tall for my tastes. Granada or Mustang consoles work real well. just my 2 cents. jerryfow2
The pic looks like it fits over a BENCH seat... never seen one like that before. It might be cool. Can always cut some off the bottom to get the height right if it drags when the bench is moved. If you have bucket seats, I would not try to use this but try what the others suggested.
That picture is taken of a Chevrolet pickup or suburban, there are several other sizes. This is the biggest I think. The web site shows three lined up. If you have a 2 door and people get into the back seat, this will get crunched when the seats or flopped forward. Anyone try putting in a Mustang bench seat? Bench on the bottom, bucket seat backs with a folding arm rest. Very comfortable to drive with the padded arm rest in the down position. Might be too wide though.
