I am just about finished with the conversion of my 76 4 door to small bumpers. I was lining up the rear valance to drill new mounting holes and it seems that it is about a 1/2" to short overall. On my 2 door cars the rear valance is pretty close to the quarters on both sides but on this car there is a gap on either side. I am done with the body work and ready for primer and paint and that gap on either side in unacceptable. So my question is has anyone run into this? If not I guess I will get out the welder and add some steel to the ends and fit it to the quarters.

As far as I know they are the same. The car I am working on was a 1 owner never hit so I know that is not an issue. I have 3 rear valances and there all short. I guess Ford decided to make this car wider that day:rolleyes:
Anything to make my work harder:mad:

2-door and 4-door rear valences are all the same.

    That would be my guess.
