250 CI Headers

    I don't see much of an extension on those headers. How much did you extend the collector on yours.

    The car originally had a 200, I bought it with no engine or trans and put a 250/C4 in it. It still has the original 200 frame mounts, which I have heard cause the engine to sit a little differently, but have never confirmed it myself. But yes, the header is on a 250.

    If you look at his pic, you can see where the original weld comes down and stops at the weld that goes around the circumference of the header. That is where the collector originally was. It's not extended much, but it appears to be enough to make installation much easier.

    yea the 250 uses a slightly diffrent engine mount then a 200-170. alot of the guys on ford 6 have to make them custom for their 64-68 mustangs since they never had a 250 stock and the 69 up 250 stuff doesnt work

    OK, I found that a 12 inch extension really improved the performance of the 200 That I put headers on. That is what I was looking for. It looks like a real good job - think about adding more....
