i think the grabber spoiler would actually over lap over the area where the where the other spoiler mounts. if you hav to move the spoiler that much further up the deck lid it probably wont look right

Someone posted a pic earlier this year.
I wouldn't even know where to start with a search.
Wasn't a very clear pic if I recall anyway.

The discussion centered on the fact that most Stangs with the pedestal spoiler had a ducktail trunk lid even more aggressive than the Mav ducktail, and they look good with both.

    Sorry I couldn't help more.
IMO, the Mach spoilers don't look right on Mavs, but that is probably because the trunk lid rounds downward UNLIKE the Stangs that the spoiler came from.
So, my thinking is that it might actually look right on a Mav with the ducktail, ala Mach 1.

I looked around and could not find a good picture of it. Tim from Somerset has it on his Grabber.

I am not fond of the raised "wing" (for my own cars) but it doesn't look bad on this red one.

I can kinda see how it is maybe mounted too far forward, but it doesn't look bad from this angle. Maybe looks odd from a front/side view...

My trunk won't stay up half the time with just the grabber spoiler. It stays up just long enough for me to stick my head in the trunk then it slams down on my head, neck, or back (depending on how far I am reaching in). I cannot imagine it staying up at all with an extra wing up there.

I have a mystery wing on mine and it stays up fine. I think it came off a truck bed cover.
I prefer the "Go Wing" style over the ramp.
(then again I think sidepipes and Cragars should be mandatory on 99% of all cars)

    Couple comments, and one tip...

The cars that came stock with the wing spoiler had trunk lid springs or prop rod, forgot which... But the support system was different.

That is the absolute best wing setup I have seen on a Mav yet!
I still think it could be done better. That wing is definately too far forward, but the ducktail definatly does improve the look. Without it, the trunk lid falls off too rounded.

    Tip:
69-70 wings are different from 71-73 wings!
Good thing to know so you can fine tune the look you want.

The earlier version has the legs further apart and taller.
The 71-73 has shorter legs, closer together.
I am not sure, but I think I remember the total wing length is shorter on the 69-70, but don't quote me on that part.

That said, I have always thought a 71-73 spoiler would look better on a Mav since is is a bit shorter in stature.

Just a thought, incase you want to use a wing, but didn't know there was a difference.

I think I may have it backwards!
This is a 71-73 spoiler, it is shorter, but I think the legs are further apart, not closer.
This spoiler looks much better IMO.
    I like the lower profile.

Here are a couple of pics of my dad's Comet back in the 80's. The spoiler was off a wrecked '71 Mach 1 he found in a junkyard. I do not think it would look right with a Grabber spoiler on there too.

The red car posted on page 1 (a very nice car, no doubt about it), obviously has the spoiler mounted too far forward, I personally don't think it looks right.

If you put both on your car, you may as well add curb feelers and dingo balls. One or the other, not both.
