But, but, I can't weld to composite! I know you are experienced here so I'm going to ask how you would do a metal one vs a composite one. At this point I'm more comfortable with my welder than I am my fiberglass work.
Well, it's strictly going to be experimental but I'm going to start looking for composite panels to keep for the material. I usually throw all this stuff in the dumpster. Anyway, it's easy to cut and trim and panel bonding adhesive should work great on it. The gears are spinning...just need something to work with.
It is an interesting thought, but everyone that has duals on a Mav is going to have a custom setup since they didn't come from the factory that way. That means different exhaust tips and different pipe locations, etc. None of this has a standard to go back to like a Mustang. In my case, my duals are run outboard of the springs, though this is subject to change. (The 351 wants bigger pipes than my 302 did. ) I would be interested to see how to modify this material. If it works with fiberglass or something similar, it should be no big deal. If it is difficult to do it cleanly, perhaps an accessory could be flanges that could be bonded on over any surgery that needs to be done. Perhaps a few different sizes for exhaust tips and one that would surround a wheelie bar cutout.
My thoughts exactly, if you could mold one that had the chin spoiler built in as one piece that would solve an huge problem with mounting. I also own a 69.5 and would like one with the same properties. Thanks for the work.:Handshake Don
And, and, and a Shelby air duct for the radiator! That's it, a valance with fog lights, chin spoiler and Shelby duct for a Mav.
Maybe a neon light so I can float on the highway at night, cruisin like 80 to get home and sign in to here... A rear 73 is what I could use. With the neon also, thanks. (guess what color...) blu
