Mud flaps

    I talked to the maverick connection, and he said jc whitney sold mud flaps/splash shields for our cars, i can't seem to find them, has anybody ever boughten them? thanks

    I have mud flaps on my Comet.
    They are from some other car but I don't know which kind. They look as good as mud flaps on a Comet can look!

    a generic mudflap should do the trick

    These are the same ones I listed above. They are a good bit bigger than the ones I used from JC Whitney, but they should certainly do the job - so TWO votes for these.

    I'll keep looking for my old ones. I think I still have two of them and I may have the Ford part number from the Ford version of the same ones. Almost the same ones were offered by Ford as a universal dealer accessory.

    Here are the ones I was talking about. The black ones on the left are the JC Whitney versions. There are no manufacturer logos on them so no way to know who made them.

    The white ones on the right are factory Ford accessories. Good luck trying to find them. I feel sure they were discontinued long ago.

    Both pair are approximately 12 inches tall by about 7 inches wide, so a good bit smaller than the ones we're finding at auto parts stores and online now, but those will certainly do the job.
