Stumbled across this site and it brought back some great memories. I ran a Comet between late 1970 into 1972, ran NHRA Modified Production, the car I ran was a magazine project car. Did five detailed stories on the car and it ran into the high 10 second range in the quarter mile with a Boss 302.http://www.bottmotorsports.com/BMStory.html Check out our current drag racing website for photos of the Comet and other projects. Will always have good memeries about my Comet Racing days.

    Very cool story!
What color was that Comet GT exterior and interior?
After you turned it in, do you know if someone continued
    racing it?

    welcome..

in case some of us don't know, Dan's car is one of the fastest all motor rides in PSCA's Hot Street class...

Dan, you need to drop something into a Mav/Comet, and run limited street! lol

    great to have you here...
