Don, it be cold up there ...besides that was if I were 90 miles from him not 1300. I just looked it up . Sure glad I like the trim...
ill see what i can do ma'am. :16suspect but your a bit of a drive, hence the " if i was closer" but i would, really.
Doesn't sound like your welding buddies are very good welders if they won't touch that. Not hard at all, just keep the heat down just enough you won't burn through, and don't build up too much heat in the panel so it won't try to warp on you. I wouldn't think there would be too much problem with warping down in the bottom of the fender though, that area is pretty sturdy.
Actually if I drink a case of beer a year, it's a lot. So the part about a second shift at Corona is all bluster. But in all seriousness, if anyone needs a place to do some work or help with something on their car, my shop is always open to my fellow Maverickers and Cometeers.
Yeah welding obviously the best but there is another 2 part putty out there that's better and CHEAPER than the POR stuff and it comes in colors! Use it and seal up with their coating to stop the rust! here's the link: http://www.cleanclassicautoparts.com/epoxy-putty.html Seen this stuff at the Ford Swap in Columbus Ohio . Tried it and it was great stuff.
