yea that is nice as for price im sure craig spared no expence on his car (the orange one) depending on how much body and prep work your car needs it shouldnt bee to hard to go orange
is that Ford Burnt Copper??? I was thinking painting the mav with that color, but thought it was too flashy, then I chose mineral gray to get this awesomeness : http://mmb.maverick.to/gallery/showimage.php?i=4971&c=6 Soo, my next mav will be burnt copper definitely.
you got purple tint in that thing or something? definatly like the color ive been seeing alot of HHR's and cobalts with that copper color so i guess it could be a GM color too
it was black, like 15 years ago. lmao I've seen that copper color in gm products as well. Cavaliers to be exactly.
Craig Selvey's orange Grabber is gorgeous. Recently completed, I'd bet he is pretty knoledgable about what a correct Maverick orange would look like. Send him a PM. Mine was painted years before I bought it, and I had a hell of a time just matching the paint for touch ups. I would just pick a modern orange, basecoat/clearcoat that looks good to you.
It all depends on the condition of your car to begin. with. Fixing dents and rust costs money. Somebody chimed in $1500 would get you a quality paint job. I am sure you can get a car painted for that....but a quality paint job will cost you that JUST in supplies (paint, reducers, thinners, sand paper, etc) To get a paint job "like this one" (mine) would cost more than $1500. Message Board member Jean Doll paints cars for a living....so I am sure she can chime in as well.
$1500.00? I had that in materials alone, more even. A price for a good paint job depends on what your starting with (like Craig said) good body work isn't cheap, my 73 needed one small patch on the right side quarter panel, maybe 3"X7" and a few dents repaired, I wrote the first check for 7 grand, and wasn't done at that.
