Anyone out there with a trunk carpet for a 74 mav/comet that could maybe give me the measurments and a pic... in y trunk everything is completely ripped out and someone has poured tar all over it, I really need pictures to see how it´s supposed to look like, and if anyone can measure the carpet I´ll cut one myself!!! Thanks!!!:Handshake Robert.
Sure I can, but I don´t know what parts are supposed to be carpeted, or how it´s supposed to look behind the back passengers seat...?
my trunk had houst carpet in it so sorry i can help lol more often then not i got something dirty back there so i just painted the hole trunk with flat black rustolem
Trunk mats came in both vinyl and carpet and did nothing more than lay in the floor. They did not extend to the back of the rear seat. Autokrafters sells them reproduction. In the later cars there is a layer of insulation under the carpet along with a plastic bag fill with a white insulation over the muffler side of the trunk.
I thank you very much, one or maybe two more questions, they did not cover the "wheelhouses"? and how do the back of the seat/trynk side look? Just trying to get it together so I can put my drums in there whitout getting them to messed up (like they could, but anyway ...) Thank you!!! Robert.
The wheel housings are just left uncovered and there is a backing material thats like a cardboard/carpet mix that goes in before the back seat so that the inside of the rear seat back cant be seen. Hope this helps out. :Handshake
Are these filler boards supposed to be there? (see the picture) Many older fords seem to have them see here.
In mine it´s a straight fall, no boards, not a single thing in the trunk, you can fit an 5 liter oil can there even (where your filler boards are)... Nice to see someone from around here!!! Robert.
Not many of us left in this part of the world some of my buddy's were at Wheels and wings car show in Varberg last summer and are still talking about it. The trunk mats are not very expensive on eBay see here.
