well the maverick was a pretty lowend car for its time so it doesnt really suprise me if thats what they did. either way im sure the ford design team didnt have much to work with for the '74 model year
Back to the original question. I didn't vote int he poll because my opinion was not represented. I think on that particular Maverick the Tuck job that was done looks pretty good on the fron bumper but what they did on the back doesn't look too great, and prolly would have looked better left stock on the back
I voted to leave 'em stock. The tuck w/the big bumpers makes it look like it was in a crash & never rebounded. Now the '73 looks good tucked because it still has a valence & looks a bit more natural.JMO
I cannot lie, you other brotha's can't deny, when a mav drives up and gets ready to race, with a big smile on your face you get sprung. wanna pull out like your tuff, cause you notice that engine was stuffed, deep under that hood the mav is wearing, you get hooked and can't stop staring. LOL hahahaha Just call me DaMadman-mix-alot
I did my74 front bumper about 3 '' back it looks better, but the back I just got done [a few hours ago] converted to the small. I dont think theirs much you could do to make the big back bumper look good in my opinion,I'll eventually go to the small bumper up front.
if you're gonna tuck the big bumpers you need to shave the side markers cuz it looks like a hack job with the bumper covering haf the marker.
Mopar also made big ugly bumpers that looked like comet bumpers. I know we really should have started a "What cars had big ugly bumpers that look like they might fit on a comet" thread... anyway.
