Installed a new dash speaker in my orange Maverick today. While it is a direct bolt in...it does require 4 holes to be drilled in order to mount it. Got it from The Paddock as a Mustang uses the same dash speaker. It is a dual voice coil speaker, with both left and right channels feeding the center speaker...and a tweeter for each channel. Can't wait to fire this thing up and hear what it sounds like. I will install some bass blockers on both channels as well.

The best part...it continues my quest for a totally invisible upgraded sound system.

I seen that the yellow and black Stallion has a factory speaker in it when I took the dashpad out. Old and no good for any real sound. I was wondering if I should replace it to have more of a surround sound or just rear speakers. Whats the coin for this?

I used one of those once. I dont remember it sounding all that great but it was hooked to an old factory am/fm radio.

We put one of those in Dad's truck. It sounds decent. Not super high quality by any means but much better than the old AM speaker.

I put a jensen 5x7 in my front dash and a tweeter in both dash corners, sounds good...

I put power to the radio only.

I am two battery cables away from putting power to the car. I finally got the ignition cylinder put in the car about two weeks ago.
