Ladies and gentlemen, the state of the Maverick is SAD!

I was asked to take some pics of my 75 tonight, this is some of what I got.
The car has been sitting, buried in the back of my shop for years now.
I see the car every day, but rarely look at it.
I had to do some digging to get these pics.
The only time I open the doors or trunk is when I get parts and stash them inside, or even under the car.
Judging from what I saw this evening, without even digging through stuff, I might be pleasently surprised at what I find when I ever clean the car out.
There are treasures to be found. ;)
I pulled 2 spoilers out of the pile, and remembered I had 2 sets of discs under the car.:D

Anyway... if you are interested, enjoy.
The hood scoop is a 70ish Dodge Demon part.

Is that a new roof on top of it to replace the rusted one. Some times the project just has to be put on hold. looks good through :thumbs2:

    Yeah.
It's off a Comet, that luckily never had a vinyl top!

Except for the rust, it looks an awful lot like my car. Need to add a couple shades of gray, fill in those trim holes, and we could have twins!!!

Glad I got my vinyl top off before it got rusty underneath.

Looks like it will be a neat car whenever you have the chance go get back into it. Roof swap ought to be an experience... So what's the story on that gas cap? Don't think I've seen that one before.

It was a really nice ride at one time.
I got it a long time ago... when my first child was born (and I was still a kid myself!).

The vinyl top really did a number on it, and I let it sit out of disgust.

The gas cap is a 71 Mach 1 flip down cap. One year only on the Stang.
The PO (another kid/friend o'mine) put the blue dots in. I just left 'em.

A local body shop that I have dealt with before quoted 500 bux to put my donor roof on. That was him doing the glass R&R as well.
I was told never to mess with the factory lead joint.
The body guys say it is almost impossible to get it back right.
They usually cut above or below that joint, and weld.
