It shows 60' times at 1.40...how do they measure 60' when the front wheels are off the ground the entire way? Is it measuring the front tire leaving and the rear wheels at 60'?
Excellent! Really enjoyed it. Thanks for posting Gene. A friend of mine that used to race a wild Super Pro big-block 65 Mustang bracket car always thought that their 60 foot times should have been better ... that was until they did verify that they were tripping the clock with the back tires. That car was pretty crazy ... carb under the windshield ... drivers seat almost in the back seat ... It used to run on the wheelie bars past 100 feet on a typical run.
This Comet is currently apart and being updated. Looking forward to seeing it's new performance levels.
Yep Ol Stephen Moore (CometGT1974 ) is gonna give a whole new meaning to the words Bad Azz Comet when he gets that thing back running! I`ve been whatching his progress on fordmaverick.com By the way on that vid the car has a 347 stroker with Victor jr. heads and a nice big dose of Nitrous. He will probably chime in as soon as he sees this thread.
That would be cool! I read the whole thread over there earlier and I really admire what he has done. And the blue he used for the paint, well... that is what I want also. At least I can get that...
