My 72 Comet is currently 2760 lbs.

That is with a 351W, aluminum intake (drops the motor back to 302 weight approx 480 lbs). The car also has been converted to manual steering and the entire AC/heater system has been stripped out of the car too.

My observation through the time I've had my car has been that there is a lot of variation
in these old Fords. Best thing you can do is head to the local dump or recycler and ask them for a weight. The one I use charges $6.00

mmm... I know thats pretty light weight for a metal car, I remember reading somewhere that a 69 corvette is in the 3000 weight range, and its fiberglass! I know my little mav. sure picks up and goes for not having that much power behind it. So i would think about in the range of 3300 for a v8. Thats just a guess.

I will weigh mine as soon as I get it running. We have a dump right up the street, and I could drive up, walk up to the lady and ask a question, and look at the numbers as I step off the scale.

The numbers are in huge yellow digits in 2 different places on the side of the building.

4107??? Something sounds drastically wrong there. Unless you have a stretch limo Mav. :hmmm:
