If I recall correctly.....FORD had a problem with the "park pawl" on the C-4's, also your tranny has to be warm before you can/will get a accurate fluid level reading
Park crawl is crazy, considering if you've ever had a C4 apart, what mainly holds it in park is a little piece of metal that catches on the tranny case to keep the internals from spinning/freewheeling
