You would be in heaven down here. There are a ridiculous amount of MN12 T-Birds and Cougars in the junkyards around here. There are two Super Coupes there right now... 98% of cars of that vintage down here are still rust free, and the ones in the junkyards are no exception.

I used to have a '92 T-Bird Supercoupe and it was a blast to drive. I also had a '95 T-Bird V-8 at the same time. I have to say that the SC was quicker off the line for sure. That would be a great setup in a Maverick. :thumbs2:

Are 5 speed super coupes common? I was at the junkyard again yesterday and took a second look at the two they have there, one has a 5 speed. Someone done snagged the super charger though. Can't say that I have ever seen a manual MN12 T-Bird before that. It looked factory.

Yes, there were factory 5-speed SCs and XR7s, but they weren't all that common. The auto was much more common in them.
Also, somewhere around 92 or so, the Cougar XR7 became nothing more than a Thunderbird LS. The supercharged version of the XR7 was discontinued.

The mav is gone but i'm still here!
Resale, although I don't think you could get much from it. They're really common. On the high side you should get $100 from it. Maybe a little more from a Tbird guy looking for one.
