I have 17x7 rims, and I wanted to know what could be the biggest tire I can squeeze in my rear wheel well without and rub?

    225/45-17 front and 245/45-17 rear.

On Mavericks, I don't like a tire taller than 25-1/2" on the front, or 26" in the back (that's just me)...

I am running 215 x 60 x 15 on front & 275 x 50 x 15 on rear. Backspacing is 4 1/4". In my opinion these are the widest rear tires you can run without rubbing & without sticking out past the fender.(y)

Thanks for the specs, I like the way those rim & tire sizes sit with the vehicles appearance, I'm going to buy that setup now...I wish I done more research from the beginning.

    By the way my rims are 15 X 7 front & 15 X 8 Rear.

No. My rear tires are 1" taller than my front to give a little rake!(y)

So a 15 x 7 rim isn't too big of a wheel to have on the front of a maverick?
