as some of you know, I am not the biggest fan of detailing my car well, I have some issues. I have what feels like "grit" and alot of what appears to be water spots that I cannot get off my car. In my attempt to get it back to road worthy, I will be making many local cruise nights and I want it to look respectable. What or is there anything out there I can rub on it and remove this stuff?
I think Dan Hines posted about using clay bars-Meguiars makes them. I like them myself. They work well. Seth
Last night a tried NuFinish & Turtle wax compound with absolutely NO positive results. Is it safe to assume this Mequiars #7/Mequiars clay bar can be purchased at my local autoparts? thanks.
John, in my opinion I would try the #7 to see if that slicks it up. If that doesnt work, then try the clay. You can buy it at most autoparts stores. I have never used the clay much on my Stallion,, but have used it on lots of other cars. The #7 gets put on the Stallion every year, slicks it up good. I mostly use the clay for stubborn spots. Dan
John; I just bought the Meguire's clay bar stuff, and I'm gonna try it next week. If you like it, let me know. Hope it works ok.
