Do you have any pics of the interior? I'm almost done with my swap, and I also went with a Pro 5.0 but I haven't figured out which shifter handle to use. Which one did you go with?

and yes for the bellhousing i use everything from a fox body .. the only difference is those of you who still have like a 70s to early 80s block need to get a 20 oz flywheel. my block is a xxx roller block so i used a ford racing light weight flywheel for a 5.0 fox body.

im going to run 3.50 gears behind my 5.0/T5 combo. i didnt wanna go too low (for the same reason u have now) and not to mention the 3.50 gears were free. i also have a Ford Racing King Cobra clutch set and Pro 5.0 shifter. did you have your T5 built up for your 347 or is it stock?

well it only had 60,000 miles on it . i had a buddy look at it and he did soem tinkering and said it is solid as new and he put a new front seal and bearing and a real seal and gave it back. so no its not built. it seems the t5 w/c are strong trannys but they do not hold up to power shifting.. if you miss 3rd its done .. but with the pro 5.0 it pulls right into 3rd and i think it will be ok for now. yeah i did not put the gears in the car, the guy i got the car from had a 306 in it that ran like poo and needed the high gear... i do not need it at all. in fact it is a tire burner now lol.

    that would be cool :thumbs2:
I'm trying to be easy on my t5 for the time being. It was used when I put it in. Don't seem to like 3rd too well until the fluid warms a little. Mines got a stock mustang shifter and if the car hooks pretty hard I'm bad to leave my hand on the shifter and jerk it out of gear on accident, did it in third today. Seems like it should stay in there a little better:huh: Fun as hell to drive though:)

ok dont take offence but i had a guy that his t-5 was doign the same thing. and he put gear lube in it when he changed fluid.... this is way way wrong what kind of fluid did you use? the toleraces in the w/c and none w//c t-5 transmissions are way way to close for gear lube they require dex 111 or a mercon fluid. yes automatic transmission fluid..

The extra bell you have that would work on my 70's block I just have to get the flywheel? What is the asking price?
The deal is I had a couple metal lathes and a metal shaper that a buddy wanted pretty bad he had a tremics 5 sp along with another small block 5sp(not sure of the brand) along with a rotisseri (sp?) that he wanted to make a deal so we did the deal and now I am going to put both of them in the cars I have.
    Thanks for you help

they go anywhere from 75 to 100 bucks on ebay . it is spotless i had it hot tanked . no grease anywhere. id take 75 for it.. shipping will be cheap prolly 15 bucks.. and yes it will work on your block and u will need a 28 oz flywheel. and a clutch fork which i also had and will throw in for 15 bucks that is what i paid for it.
