Bullet Proof C-4 transmissions,,,

    I have a 1976 Maverick Stallion, and 85 More Mavericks and Comets in Inventory.
    For the longest time I have felt lucky to have a friend of mine that builds some of the finast Transmissions around,, He builds what we call a Bullet proof C-4 Transmission rated for 1200 HP,, It works perfect for our 347 and 331 Strokers,,, Talking about tough Trannies,, Mark has been building Trannies for Years,, and has a Huge Tranny shop near Cleveland, So I am going to pass on this Tid Bit of Info to every one,,

    In order to take 1200 HP they have to be rollerized, four oe six pinion planets, "C" servo, seven or eight clutches in the drums, deep sump pan and filter pick-up and probably using carbon or Kevlar frictions. I would suspect that they come with manual valve bodies with an options for brake and reverse pattern. My guess would be that if you want an auto shift valve body you have to order it special.
    This is just from my own experience in building C4s for 1000+ HP.

    sounds like ...you don't know what he uses...
    maybe someone should ask him...This is just from my own experience in wanting to know what someone does...:yup:

    They have to be rollerized to take over 1000 HP.
    If they aren't rollerized then they won't do the job.

    I expect the original poster will answer too - why not wait if you really need to know.
