Nice work. Good to see others favoring function over form. I'm thinking about going the same route myself w/ a mostly all junkyard setup.

Im from puerto rico and i have experience tubocharging 302 specially stock bottom ends and i think that the pipes from the engine to the turbo was too big maximum 2.250because of gas speed in lower rpm and the manifolds you are using must have one hole smaller than the others and this hole for the bolts puts the manifolds not centered with the head, just drill it, and the turbine housing i think is too big, mostly i use.81 with c4 and .96 manualif need help i can help you

Nice looking setup. I can't wait to hear the results running. Silly question about the gap between the exhaust pipes and the radiator hoses. They look really close in the pictures. Are you planning to wrap the pipes with heat wrap? I have seen the exhaust pipes on turbo cars turn red with heat when the engine is pushed hard and would be concerned about burning the radiator hoses.

I love the look of your car and the tubing work and welding looks great! What do you do as a profession? Does it involve fabrication or are you "just a gifted amateur"?

    UPDATE FOR EVERYONE

I never ended up finishing the car. Instead I put the drivetrain combination into a 1980 Mustang Coupe. So far it has gone a best of 10.95@127.7 with the stock longblock 5.0.

I have finally started working on the Maverick again. I recently installed a 6 point roll bar and started modifying the front suspension for more engine bay room.

I did the shelby drop on the upper controls arms and moved the tops of the shocks and springs outboard 2.75". Once i get the towers plated back in I can decide on an engine combination. I am leaning towards a 9.5" deck Windor based engine with a single turbo and a blow through carb. Although I have had excellent luck with the Megasquirt EFI and E85 I would like to try my hand at the carburated stuff.

I will try to maintain the updates a little better this time.

Attached are some photos of the new sleeper and the old engine combination. Also attached are the shock tower mods and roll bar.

    Thanks,

I bent it myself. I dont have pictures of the bars in the trunk right now. No armrests. This is a beater car without interior.

    Regards,
    Tony R
