Thanks Guys!! I hope to have most of the interior back in by the weekend, a few parts and pieces are off getting painted, the bumpers are out being re-chromed, so it's coming back together quickly. I just want to go for a drive!!!
color combo is awesome....car is looking great!!!! I would have been a nervous wreck fitting that hood!
Looks good ... but I would have saved it for a 71/72 Grabber (your next project?) and put the correct hood on your 73 .... you've done so much great work to make it look Factory ....
My next project will be my 74 Grabber that I've owned for 17+ years, it's white & orange (it's on the left), so I thought the Grabber hood would look better green & white. I have a good flat hood, I could always swap it. I need to clean up my garage, again....
Ah, Dan, you're just jealous his car is going to give your car a run for it's money as to which is nicer!! (I am, of course, kidding they are/will be both extremely nice)
Nah ... Dave's car is already nicer! all these guys doing the rotisserie restorations are immaculate ... Next time my car gets restored (not anytime soon for sure) ... I'll have to do it on a rotisserie too ...
I tried not to over restore this car, I built it to drive, it's not a 100% immaculate car, but it has turned out really nice. I tried to leave as much of the original factory stuff as possible, spot welds, seam sealer, the fenders fit a little funny, but thats the way it was made. This car has had some body work, mostly to fix dents, and the passenger side door had a good run in with a car port. The floors underneath, I just cleaned them and painted them with POR 15, I guess I could have media blasted them and made them 100%, but I wanted to leave it as much like it left the factory as I could. If you look at it, I'm sure you'll find something. I have a friend that has a concours Boss 429 Mustang, it's an awesome car, but he doesn't drive it, I've heard rumors that it doesn't even have pistons in the motor, what fun is that?? I want to take my kids to a car show and have as much fun going there as possible.
Looking good Dave! You are 100% right! What good is it, if you can't drive them & enjoy them? Mine isn't perfect either. I don't care. I just like the looks I get, when I'm out cruizin' the town...
Options? Dave- What options did the car come with from the factory? It is an original V8 car, correct? Seth
