This is going to sound crazy, but I just traded a complete nut & bolt setup from 1/4 to 1/2inch, 5 inches long and a metric bolt setup 4 mm to 12 mm with binning equipment, for a 1976 Ford Ranchero. Now this is one ugly car, but it has a VERY well build 460 in it with an 850 holley DP, Edlebrock intake, Comp cam and rockers. Man does this thing ever sound mean Since I sell nuts and bolts for a living, I just had some extra's in the garage. You gota love it when a plan falls in your lap. Total cost $0.00 I now need some tires and wheels for it. I guess the boys at the Vo-tech body shop are going to get another car from me to work on. I now own a 1976 Ford Ranchero, 1992 ford F150, 1994 Mark VIII (Cobra motor) 2004 Explorer Sport Trac and last but not least 1974 Ford Maverick with a new (I just rebuilt it) 427 cid Windsor. Can anyone lend me some money for "GAS" Blessing to all. Terry Gates AKA Bossmav
awesome terry! thats a big car! that looks like that guy at Mason Dixon with that big green wagon, the one that hauls!
Friend of mine has one just like it. With a 501" BBF. He runs it in a heads up street radial class--and wins lots of races despite it's size and weight. It may be big and heavy but it has the right engine to offset that weight. No replacement for displacement (well....for the most part)
Yeah, the cost was right. Don, are you still winning races for the rest of us that aren't racing? How the weather? Mavman, I think I'm going to get the car painted pearl black, then use it as my tow truck to pull my maverick to the track with. Eddie, I now own a Pro Grocery getter. I think that's whats on the station wagon you'er talking about. The station wagon is a 10 second car, fast for so big. Terry
there is a wagon of the generation running 10s, takes lots of power but it can be done! oh yeah that wagon hangs the front wheels too
