    Hi All,

After losing a few auctions on period correct bucket seats, I low-bid on a pair of 2007 Pontiac G6 manual adjust buckets and ended up getting them for $99.00. Of course, it cost more than that to get them here, but for $210.00 total, they're lookng pretty good. I spent all day reassembling them, hacking up the tracks, and playing with the "seat adjuster". It's a small screw-drive motor that raises the DR seat up and down about 3". Was gonna trash it, but it's too cool to dump. I'll get some flat bar tomorrow and finsh mounting them.

How much did you have to work on the mounts to get them to fit? Just spacers, or cut the entire bottom out?

Dayum, those look right at home in there!

    Style wise they look awesome.
I'd have issues with the blah gray color.

Time to learn how to dye all the plastic blue!
Then send the buns out for some blue Comfortweave... ;)

Scott, those factory tracks are pretty odd looking. Don't know if you can see it in the (E-Bay) pic, but the front mounts are hooks that latch into something on the Pontiac floor and the rear mounts are 1/2" diameter pointed studs that I ASSume) drop into reciever holes in the floor.

The tracks were 17 1/2" wide, so I'm "bridging" them with 1 1/2" x 1/4" flat bar. Then I'll be able to use the factory mounting holes. The outer front mount sits level with the floor pad, the others will need spacers.

Sorry, got an error while trying to attach my pic (said it was already attached?)

Actually, the inserts have a gray pattern that looks like snakeskin or honeycomb (kind of a elongated hexagon). I like it enough that I'll prolly do the door panels and rear seat in it. The headliner is perfect and will be dyed black as well as the dashpad and hard plastic parts. That leaves me a choice on color for the carpet and dashboard. Ideas???

Alrighty, got the DR side finished. Spent all morning buying steel bar and tubing... I ended up doing it a little different than what I had originally planned and it's a bit heavier. I was going to use just 2 rails crossways, but the seat ended up being too far forward. By adding 2 rails paralleling the tracks, I could extend the whole thing 3" rearward.

Hmmm, d@mn board still says my tracks pic is already on this thread, oh well, you'll not see that one!

The first pic shows the front of the Pontiac tracks. You can see where I used a cutoff wheel to remove the "hooks".

The second pic shows the inner rail and the 2 spacers I made from 1 1/2" aluminum round bar. The front is 3/4" tall and the rear is 1 5/8" tall.

The last pic shows the outer rail sitting flat on the factory floor, no spacers.

    Hey soooul,

Good idea, it's there! Got them all mounted today. Best $99.00 seats I've found yet! :D
