i was working on windshield washer fluid sprayers when i stumbled across a huge section of rot in the area ... im not sure what its called but its the piece of metal thats under the vent holes in the front of the car just before the windshield... and i have no idea what to do or how to get to that area. do i have to pull the quarterpanels and such, because now whenever it rains my driver side floorboard gets absloutley soaked. ty for the help -Rob
Sounds like the famous cowl vent rot. Not an easy repair. Do a search on cowl and you will find all sorts of threads on it. Here is a recent one from Mavaholic http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=36382&highlight=cowl
Nice Frank What did it take to get that done? Did you just weld in, or did you cut filler pieces and weld them in?
here is where i got the idea...http://www.cameoclub.com/ click on restomods... i didn't weld... heater is ...hotter A/C is colder it takes the inside air and pulls it back through the...heater/A/C box.. the vac. pod that opens the...fresh air...vent is blocked off. ...Frank...
