Yes, I despise them. If I wanted your opinion, I'd ask. So here I go.... Any ideas on how to remove one thats 37 year old? It appear to have become welded to what else is a perfect bumper 71 bumper. I am sure triple A is a fine membership but why oh why would you want to put their sticker on your car!
Heat gun and some scrapeing followed by some 3-M adhesive remover or lacquer thinner to remove the glue.Dont be surprised if there is a permanent shadow of the sticker in the chrome .
Shadow I would live with. This one seems to be embedded. No rise at all. I tried removers but not the heat gun yet. I thought it wouldn't work due to the stickers age.
Heat gun and a hard plastic scraper should bust that ugly thing loose.I hate bumper stickers too.Good luck.
My first thought was to spray some Brake Cleaner or lacquer thinner on it. Heat gun sounds like a great idea though if nothing else works.
hells yea did my whole engine bay with that but if i was woried about preserving the chromes finish i might be a little scared
Thats what I was thinking as well. The overall chrome is fantastic for its age other than the sticker. Good plan if all else fails though. Thanks.
